During the years completed our students carried the reputation of OKI to the island wide sports arena. The priceless service rendered by the Sports Department staff/coaches and the support given by the management has made it possible to accomplish the targets in the past years.
Karate
OKI Karate players won 14 gold / 8 silver / 11 bronze medals and emerged as the overall 4thplace.
Athletics
Over the past years OKI continued to participate at the circuit, zonal and district meets and OKI athletes did well. A strong team of athletes was always ready to battle at any National Schools meets. A well recognized elite athlete of Sri Lanka is driving the team of coaches for achievements.
Badminton
At the all island competition OKI launched two teams for „C‟ and „E‟ divisions. OKI team became runners-up. 23 Badminton players won the District level and qualified for the Junior National All Island Championship 2015.
Netball
Netball competition Under 13 Team emerged champions.
Basketball
This popular event is always number one among the boys. There are more than 100 students practicing under a well- qualified coach in different age categories. OKI Basketball teams take part in recognized tournaments and our team is known as one of the strongest teams among the international schools.
Dream Team – Cricket
Cricket is a major game in the international school sector that involves the most number of schools. Presently at OKI cricket is functioning only in middle age groups. The Dream Team objective is to prepare a plan that will achieve the objective of preparing the young cricketers in their early ages.
